ProCertUK follow a transparent, efficient, and client-friendly ISO certification process designed to help organizations achieve international recognition for quality, safety, and efficiency. Our goal is to make the certification journey simple, structured, and valuable to your business.
Step 1: Application Submission
The process begins when the client submits a formal application to our certification body. The application form collects essential details about the organization, including its size, scope of operations, location, number of employees, and the ISO standard(s) sought. Once the application is received, our certification team reviews it to ensure that all required information is complete and accurate.
Step 2: Application Review and Quotation
After receiving the application, our technical team conducts a review to determine the complexity of the organization’s processes and the certification requirements. Based on this review, we provide a quotation that outlines the certification cost, audit days, and related terms and conditions. Upon mutual agreement, a Certification Agreement is signed between both parties to formalize the process.
Step 3: Audit Planning
Once the agreement is finalized, an audit plan is prepared. Our audit team coordinates with the client to schedule convenient audit dates. The audit is conducted in two stages as per ISO/IEC 1
Step 4: Stage 1 Audit – Documentation Review
7021-1 requirements. The plan includes the scope of certification, audit objectives, and areas to be assessed. The Stage 1 audit involves reviewing the organization’s management system documentation, policies, procedures, and readiness for certification. The purpose of this audit is to evaluate whether the management system meets the requirements of the selected ISO standard and to identify any areas that need improvement before proceeding to Stage 2.
Step 5: Stage 2 Audit – Implementation Assessment
During the Stage 2 audit, our auditors assess the practical implementation and effectiveness of the management system. They verify that all processes comply with ISO requirements and are effectively maintained. The audit covers interviews, observation of activities, and review of records. At the end of the audit, a closing meeting is held to discuss any nonconformities or observations.
Step 6: Certification Decision
After the completion of the audit, the audit report and evidence are submitted to the Certification Committee for review. The committee independently evaluates the findings and makes the final decision on certification. If all requirements are met, the ISO certificate is issued to the organization.
Step 7: Surveillance Audits
To ensure continual compliance, surveillance audits are conducted annually during the three-year certification cycle. These audits verify that the management system continues to function effectively and meets the ISO standard requirements.
Step 8: Recertification
Before the expiry of the certification cycle, a recertification audit is conducted to assess the continued conformity and effectiveness of the management system. Upon successful completion, the certification is renewed for another three years.
Conclusion:
ProCert UK our ISO certification process is built on integrity, impartiality, and professionalism. We ensure that every stage of the process adds value to your organization and enhances your management system’s performance in alignment with international standards.
